TAMAR

…this princess was made to be a queen… her father will make her one.

Once my smile was the loveliest
My garment the prettiest
I walked with grace
You could sing my praise

Never was it heard that a Prince would hurt a Princess
For he was trained to have a King’s sense
He didn’t mince his words
And you never did dare his sword

See, I have been forced
Into a curse
I am imprisoned
In this garment of crimson

I was serving bread
Because I truly cared
My treasure was not to be sold
How could he have been so cold?

Now my story is told
Many say I wasn’t bold
Daddy rejects
Mama regrets

I didn’t sell it
No one wants to hear me tell it
Instead they hold on to their dogma
I have become a stigma…

I hurt, I hurt, I really hurt
I wish I had fought
I see him walk on as a Prince
As if he had no sins

They call me desolate
They say I would be without a mate
I no longer wear my fragrance
My new cologne’s vengeance

Oh but I pray Thee
If Thy voice be loud
Let it echo through my cloud
Like a hunter’s hound
Trace me till I’m found

I plead for girls like me
Who want to be
Truly loved by Thee
Everlasting King.

  1. I don’t know why this reminds me of the blonde in Twiligth, among the vampires family but one thing I know is that the way a person walks or talks doesn’t make a person a prince, this is one mistakes princesses make and they always pay dearly.
I wish it is easy to look beyond the walk and talk of a prince but it isn’t…that lives a princess with the only option of looking up to only princes that look, talk and above all act like the real prince. The prince of peace. Jesus!

One thing I know is that the walk and talk of a prince does make the pronce a good prince. Nearly always, princesses are taken by the talk and walk of princes.
It is not so easy to tell apart a good prince from a bad one and their walk and talk doesn’t make it any easier.
I think the only option for princesses are to look up to the real prince. The prince of peace. Only through him can a princess see and be blessed with the oppurtunity to tell a good prince apart from a bad one.
